Independent Pratictioners Group
The Cleveland Independent Practitioners Group (IPG) is an organization of
public relations and marketing communications professionals who work freelance, usually from their homes to keep overhead low, for clients of all sizes in a variety of industries.
Many IPG members have decades of experience, and have been in business for themselves for more than 25 years.
Monthly IPG lunch meetings feature presentations, mostly provided by outside experts, on topics of interest to members. Meetings sometimes also feature editorial representatives from area print and broadcast media.
There are also occasional open discussion meetings. These serve as forums during which members share information about common problems/concerns they encounter as solo practitioners, as well as practical advice to improve their practices.
IPG members have a wide range of experience and expertise in:
- media relations
- public relations - press releases, and more
- marketing plans - including e-marketing
- product launches
- special event planning and promotion
- website planning and production
- executive speeches and presentations
- writing and editing
- any aspect of marketing communications/PR
